Welcome to St Aidan's Anglican Church Hurstville Grove.

St Aidan's is a group of people meeting together who all love and follow God our Heavenly Father, and his Son the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe God is our creator and that Jesus died for us and now lives with us.

Our aim as the people of God is to know Christ Jesus better and to see Him made known throughout the world.

1 Peter 5:1-14 - Standing Firm

The Apostle Peter writes to the Christians scattered throughout Asia-Minor, the result of persecution during the Roman Empire.

His message to them - stand firm in the faith.

‘Clothe themselves with humility towards one another’ while you wait for Jesus to return.

The elders of the church are to set the example in this, not ‘lording it over’ people but serving them. Jesus Christ the ‘Chief Shepherd’ is the ultimate e.g. of one serving. We owe our whole life to him.
